Mon Sep 28 2026 Curry College's School of Business and Technology invites applications for part-time faculty to teach the following graduate-level (MBA) course in Fall 2026. MBA 7050- Financial Analytics for Managers - 3 credits
Course Overview:
The course will begin with an overview of financial accounting and review how accounting data is used from a manager's perspective. Beginning with data acquisition and preparation, students will learn how to access financial data and prepare it for analysis, using tools like Excel, Alteryx, Tableau, and Power BI. The course will detail advanced financial analytics techniques that can be used to help managers make business decisions. Lastly, students will transform the financial data into visualizations to support and clarify data included in written reports and presentations.
Modality:
This course will be offered for 8 weeks with one three day, in-person meeting on Friday, Saturday, Sunday at the Milton, MA campus (12/4, 12/5, 12/6). The rest of the course will be conducted asynchronously online. Part-time faculty are responsible for planning and presenting course material, establishing specific requirements and informing students of these requirements, holding requisite office hours, grading examinations and projects, submitting grades on time, and utilizing Canvas as the learning management system. Screening and review of candidate application materials will commence immediately and will continue on an ongoing basis.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
An undergraduate degree in Accounting and a Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, or a closely related discipline. An active professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA). Demonstrated hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Tableau (Prep and Desktop), and Microsoft PowerBI.
Preferred Qualifications:
A terminal degree (Ph.D., DBA, or JD) Relevant industry experience. Practical familiarity with Microsoft Power BI. Prior teaching experience at the graduate (MBA) level. Experience utilizing the Canvas Learning Management System.
Salary:
$4,500 per 3 credit course Please note: Eligibility for promotion to Lecturer and an increased rate of compensation are negotiated between the College and the Curry College AAUP.
