Job Description Summary & Additional Information Organizational Summary:
The Department of Department of Decision, Operations & Information Technologies at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, College Park seeks to hire an adjunct lecturer to support our Online Master's in Business Analytics (OMSBA) program The ideal candidate will have experience in the following: Vector Databases Large Language Models RAG optimization and evaluation Real-time Use Cases for Agentic Systems Multi Agent Systems Multi Context Protocol One of 12 schools and colleges located on the University of Maryland, College Park campus, the Robert H. Smith School of Business is a recognized leader in management research and education for the global economy. A comprehensive business school, Smith offers undergraduate, full-time, and part-time MBA, M.S., Executive MBA, PhD, and non-degree executive education programs as well as outreach services to the corporate community. The school is consistently ranked among the top business schools by leading business publications such as Business Week, Financial Times, U.S. News & World Report, and The Wall Street Journal.
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters with 18 graduate credits in an information systems or operations management related discipline Solid verbal and written communication skills.
Preferences:
Doctorate in information systems or business analytics related discipline Relevant practitioner-related experience Prior teaching and/or training experience Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS certification, PMP, etc.) Experience with a learning management system, preferably Canvas Experience with the creation of course materials
