Embedded within the College of Health Sciences and Human Services, the Healthcare Administration program prepares students for management and leadership careers across the health sector. Adjunct instructors are responsible for teaching online courses in curricular areas related to medical terminology, healthcare leadership, quality assessment and performance improvement, organizational behavior, economics and finance of healthcare organizations, disaster management, global health, conflict resolution, health insurance and managed care, cultural competence in healthcare and research methods. Interested persons should submit a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, teaching philosophy statement (no more than 1-page in length), and a statement that articulates their approach to teaching or other initiatives designed to foster a sense of student engagement, community, and belonging (not to exceed 1-page in length). The letter of interest should identify the area(s) of the curriculum you are interested in teaching in along with an explanation of your qualifications to teach courses in that area(s). Qualifications Master's degree or higher in Healthcare Administration or a related field; doctoral degree preferred Professional experience and expertise relevant to the course(s) to be taught Experience teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level preferred Experience teaching online and familiarity with Canvas Learning Management System preferredBenefits
