Description:
1 year position BMS Peer Coach - 4 positions To serve as an exemplary teacher and instructional leader who coaches colleagues by modeling best practice strategies, conference, observing and providing substantive feedback.
Qualifications:
Current licensed teacher in the State of Minnesota. Continuing contract teacher in Farmington Public Schools. Committed to professional development and growth. Outstanding interpersonal skills including displaying respect, empathy and integrity with encouraging and supporting individual and team efforts.
Essential Functions:
Attends training including Charlotte Danielson Framework of Teaching (CDFT) and Reflective Teaching protocols. Observes teachers using the Coaching model of a pre-conference, observation and facilitates reflective follow-up dialogue, in conjunction with District 192's Framework for Teaching procedures for observations. Coaching will occur up to 3 times per school year depending on IGDP Arranges for the peer to observe the peer coach's classroom depending on IGDP.
Nominal Stipend:
$2170 The position will pay a fixed stipend as delineated in Schedule Q of the teacher contract. The stipend amount is considered a "nominal stipend". The amount of the stipend will not change based on the number of daily hours that are devoted to duties.
