Job Description:
The School of Arts and Sciences at Manhattanville University invites applications for an open rank faculty position in Management. This position may be filled by either a tenure-track or clinical-track faculty member, to be determined at the point of offer based on experience, research productivity, and professional credentials. This position carries a teaching load of 24 to 30 credits per academic year (dependent on type of appointment) and includes instruction in both undergraduate and graduate courses in Management. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and interdisciplinary faculty committed to excellence in teaching, student engagement, and applied learning.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Duties/Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Management and related areas, including foundational and advanced topics. Develop and update curriculum to reflect current industry standards and emerging trends. Develop and teach online courses. Implement active, student-centered pedagogical approaches—including project‑based learning, case studies, collaborative activities, and experiential exercises—to promote deep learning and applied skill development in management courses. Advise and mentor students in academic and career planning. Participate in departmental, school, and university service, including committee work and program development. Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to support the growth of business and management programs. Engage in professional development to stay current in the field. Maintain an active scholarly agenda in management or related fields (for tenure-track faculty).
Required Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population, including low socioeconomic and first-generation students. Ability to teach a range of courses in management, at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Qualifications:
Education:
Master's degree or higher in Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
Experience:
Demonstrated evidence of excellence in teaching at the college level Professional experience in management or business leadership. Experience with experiential learning, project-based learning, and case-based instruction. Familiarity with current business tools, frameworks, and strategic analysis.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Salary:
The annual salary for this position is $63,000-98,000 depending on rank and experience.
Hours Expectation:
Full-time, 35 hours per week
