iCademy Global is a tuition-free, K-12 virtual school headquartered in West Michigan. We know that a great education doesn't have to take place in a classroom. We are seeking a High School Mentor and Business and Career Teacher to provide engaging, standards-aligned instruction to students in grades 9-12 in a primarily virtual environment with limited on-site expectations. Responsibilities Build positive relationships with mentee students and families Advocate for students with the teaching team and hold students accountable to academic and engagement expectations Help students grow academically, socially, and emotionally Deliver high-quality high school elective instruction aligned to Michigan Academic Standards Plan and facilitate asynchronous lessons Assess student learning and provide timely feedback Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners, including students with IEPs and 504 plans Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and documentation Communicate regularly with students and families Collaborate with colleagues and support staff Participate in meetings, professional learning, and required school events Uphold iCademy Global policies and expectations Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher Valid Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement in one of the following areas or ability to obtain (GH, GX, GQ, TE, IX, TX OR CIP codes: 10.0301, 11, 14, 15, or 52) Experience teaching/coaching high school students Strong communication and organizational skills Comfort using technology and virtual learning platforms Preferred Qualifications Experience in a virtual or blended learning environment Familiarity with Michigan Academic Standards Experience working with diverse student populations Work Environment Primarily remote with scheduled on-site requirements On-site one day per week during the school year (Tuesdays) Additional on-site attendance required for state testing, graduation, and new student orientation Reliable internet access and appropriate home workspace required Position Details Full-time, exempt School-year position Balanced Calendar (https://icademyglobal.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/26-27-iCademy-draft-calendar.pdf) Salary BA Step 0 - $50,000.00 Additional compensation is available based on verified years of relevant experience. iCademy Global is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
