Appointment is contingent upon receipt of an acceptable background screening conducted once selected for the position.

UNION ELIGIBILITY

: Adjuncts become eligible to join the RIC/AFT Adjunct Union if they complete 6 load hours (excludes applied music) within the two previous consecutive years. Payment is made once a month; applicable taxes are withheld. There are no fringe benefits with this position. Upon hire, candidate will be required to provide an official transcript of highest degree earned. Applications for these positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed if openings become available . Writing sample, teaching evaluations and/or letters of recommendation are not required at time of application and are required only if requested directly by the department chair. Posting Details Classification Information FLSA Exempt Rate Per Credit Hour $1,683/credit hour Position Information Position Title Adjunct, Marketing Department Name Management and Marketing Department Academic or Calendar Year Academic School Name School of Management Position Overview Adjunct Teaching Position in Marketing Department, courses taught would include Principles of Marketing and other marketing courses ( Advertising, Personal Selling & Sales Management, Global Marketing, Marketing Communications & Promotion, Digital Marketing) depending on candidate experience Essential Duties Course preparation Lecturing Grading Assist students Communication with students. Teach courses that meet once or twice a week and will be taught in person. Occasional Duties Email communications with department Chair and other faculty Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Familiarity with a learning management system. Knowledge of marketing principles and methods. Ability to engage students in active learning. Required Qualifications Minimum of a Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field as well as some post-secondary teaching experience with related industry experience. Preferred Qualifications A minimum of 2- year college teaching experience with industry experience in marketing.
