Official TSU Title Associate Professor of Management Information Systems Grant Title N/A Job Description Summary / TWC Summary The School of Business at Texas Southern University is accepting applications for a tenure-track Associate Professor of Management Information Systems, who is competent in instructing students, with an active, continuing research agenda. The ideal candidate will possess a doctoral degree with an emphasis in Management Information Systems, or a closely related discipline, from a regionally accredited university. A doctoral degree with substantial professional experience and certifications in Management Information Systems will also be considered. A focus on Cybersecurity is a requirement of the position. This is a 9-month tenure-track position with teaching responsibilities at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Essential Duties Summary Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Management Information Systems and Cybersecurity. Conduct research that is presentable at professional academic conferences and acceptable for publication in referred academic journals. Active participation in departmental, school and university committees. Service to one's profession and the surrounding community. Advise and mentor students. Other job-related duties as assigned. % FTE 1.0 Hiring Range $100,176.33 - $135,238.00 Education Doctoral degree in Management Information Systems with a focus on Cybersecurity, or a closely related discipline, from a regionally accredited university at time of hire.
