Job Description
Business Administration Faculty - Undergraduate & MBA Virginia Christian University (VACU) is a Christian institution of higher education committed to academic excellence grounded in faith and ethics. VACU seeks to prepare students for professional service and leadership while integrating Christian values into the educational experience. Position Summary Virginia Christian University is seeking qualified and dedicated faculty members to teach courses in its Undergraduate Business Administration and Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs. Faculty members will provide high-quality instruction, assess student learning, support and advise students, and contribute to curriculum development and continuous program improvement. Teaching Areas Candidates may teach in one or more of the following areas: Accounting, Finance, and Economics Management, Leadership, and Organizational Behavior Marketing, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship Operations and Supply Chain Management Project Management Statistics and Research Methods Business Ethics Global and Cross-Cultural Business Key Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and/or graduate business courses. Deliver courses on campus, with hybrid or online instruction as needed. Develop syllabi, assignments, course materials, and assessments aligned with program learning outcomes. Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate academic records. Advise and mentor students and maintain regular office hours. Participate in curriculum review, academic assessment, and continuous program improvement. Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and other academic service activities as assigned. Integrate Christian worldview, ethical reasoning, and values-based decision-making into instruction where appropriate. Comply with VACU academic policies, faculty responsibilities, and institutional standards. QualificationsUndergraduate Teaching Master's degree in Business Administration or a related business field required. MBA Teaching Doctorate (DBA, PhD, or equivalent terminal degree) preferred. Candidates with a relevant master's degree and significant professional and/or college-level teaching experience may also be considered. Additional Qualifications Demonstrated effectiveness in college-level teaching. Experience teaching online or hybrid courses is preferred. Relevant professional or industry experience is strongly valued. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students. Commitment to the mission and educational values of Virginia Christian University.
