The School of Business at West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech), part of the WVU system of campuses located in Beckley, WV, is currently inviting applications for part-time adjunct faculty positions. Potential areas of need include Accounting and Finance. Applications will be accepted throughout the year and will be considered as openings arise. Salary is established on a per-course basis. All positions are part-time and not benefits-eligible. The successful candidate will be responsible for in-person and/or online courses for the undergraduate programs in the School of Business.

Qualifications :

The position in accounting requires a master's degree in accounting or accounting information systems, or a PhD in Accounting—a JD may also be accepted for specific course needs. Candidates with a bachelor's degree who also hold relevant professional certifications (CPA, CIA, CMA, CFE) with at least 5 years of full-time professional work experience in the course content area will be considered. The position in finance requires a master's or doctoral degree in finance or a closely related discipline and evidence of ability to teach effectively. A combination of a bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of full-time professional work experience in the course content area will be considered. Commitment to teaching excellence, responsiveness to student needs, and good communication skills are essential.
