Job Description
Position Summary A well-established and growing organization is seeking an experienced Payroll Clerk to join our team. This position is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and company policies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a high level of confidentiality. Candidates must have extensive payroll processing experience and a solid understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and employee records management. Experience supporting Human Resources functions is highly desired. Essential Responsibilities Process multi-cycle payroll accurately and on schedule. Review and verify employee time records, earnings, deductions, and payroll adjustments. Maintain payroll records and employee data with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. Reconcile payroll reports and investigate discrepancies. Prepare payroll-related reports for management and audits. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. Assist with payroll tax reporting and year-end processing activities. Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a professional and timely manner. Support HR activities including employee onboarding, benefits administration, personnel records maintenance, and compliance reporting. Collaborate with accounting, finance, and HR teams to improve payroll processes and maintain data integrity. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of payroll processing experience. Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax withholding requirements, and payroll systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
