The mission of the Department of Chemical Sciences is to create and maintain an environment for both students and faculty to advance their understanding of chemistry guided by the highest standards in teaching and learning, scientific inquiry, and community service. The Department of Chemical Sciences at Bridgewater State University seeks qualified Part-Time Faculty for the Spring 2027 semester, who are enthusiastic teachers and dedicated to working with undergraduates. The successful candidate may be expected to teach laboratory sections in our Principles of Chemistry I/II ( CHEM 141L/142L), Survey of Chemistry I/II ( CHEM 131L/132L), and/or Organic Chemistry I/II ( CHEM 243L/244L) course sequences. The candidate may also have an opportunity to teach lectures in CHEM 131/132 or Chemistry in Everyday Life ( CHEM 102). Candidates must demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of students from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of abilities.Required Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher in Chemical Sciences or related field required. Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to teaching in an undergraduate setting are required. Candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and advising.Preferred Qualifications:
