Job Description

Adjuncts - Chemistry (All disciplines) The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is searching for adjunct faculty who have an interest and expertise in teaching lower and upper division chemistry courses. Please see the department website ( https://csm.rowan.edu/departments/chembio ) for more information. These positions are available for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.
Qualifications:
The candidate should possess master's degree in any sub-discipline of Chemistry (including organic, inorganic, analytical, physical, or biochemistry) or relevant field. Preference will be given to applicants with previous teaching experience, and favorable recommendations from references. The application must be submitted through our online application system. All positions are contingent upon budget appropriations.
Note:
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States. The University will not sponsor a visa for this position. In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act , and in accordance with the current MOA, Rowan University adjuncts are provided with a minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year. Courses will be assigned to instructors by College & Department on an as-needed basis.
