Position Information Position Title University Faculty Organic Chemistry Requisition Number F00543P Job Description The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Weber State University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor starting July 1, 2027. We seek a person with teaching experience and expertise in organic chemistry. Job Duties The successful candidate will be appointed as a tenure-track Assistant Professor, and will be expected to: Teach undergraduate organic chemistry lectures and labs, as well as other courses based on the candidate's interest/expertise and department needs Establish an active and sustained research program with an emphasis on engaging undergraduate students in organic chemistry. Serve on department, college, and university committees.
Required Qualifications Required Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, or a closely related field. ABD candidates considered if the degree is completed before July 2027.

Proven dedication to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level. Demonstrated ability to teach and inspire all students to achieve academic goals and build a foundation for future education. A commitment to research that leads to scholarly dissemination and the ability to integrate research interests into undergraduate-level projects. Track record of collaborative professionalism.
