Job Summary Jones Center Swim is seeking a patient, safety-minded Swim Instructor to join our aquatics team. In this role, you will teach water safety and swimming techniques to individuals of various ages and skill levels, helping them build confidence and skills in the water. Your passion for swimming and dedicated instruction will ensure a safe, encouraging, and fun learning environment that fosters a lifelong love for aquatics. Main Responsibilities Foster a safe, fun, and adaptive learning environment for all ages and abilities. Implement Jones Center Learn to Swim curriculum. Proactively seek out new effective teaching methods. Teach water safety, enforce pool rules, and model safe choices in and around the water. Additional Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Required Skills and Abilities Ability to swim to the level that is taught. Excellent time management skills. Effective decision-making. Adaptable in teaching approach. Excellent class management skills. Positive mindset towards growth and improvement. Preferred Training and Experience Experience working with children.
WSI, USA
Coaching, or equivalent. Fluent in Spanish or Marshallese a plus. CPR and first aid certified. Red Cross Lifeguard Certified. Physical Requirements Ability to remain stationary, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
