Special Service Contract - $2,500.00JOB SUMMARY:
Lead the freshman developmental team through practice and games. Experience playing and coaching in the sport is a plus. Candidate must work effectively with students, parents, and staff. Plan and lead practices, including skill development, conditioning, and game strategy Develop and communicate game plans, offensive/defensive schemes, and player positioning Coach players during games, including making in-game strategic decisions and substitutions Evaluate player skills and assign roster positions fairly and appropriately Ensure student-athlete safety, including proper warm-ups, injury prevention, and emergency response procedures Monitor and support student-athletes' academic eligibility and overall well-being Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school administration regarding schedules, expectations, and team policies Coordinate with the athletic director on scheduling games, practices, transportation, and facility use Maintain and inventory team equipment and uniforms Enforce school and league rules, codes of conduct, and disciplinary policies Attend required coaching certifications, trainings, and meetings (e.g., CPR/First Aid, concussion protocol) Foster good sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive team cultureQUALIFICATIONS
Unless otherwise stated, all coaching positions require a current, valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. Arizona Department of Education teacher certificate or coach's certificate (NFHS) preferred, but not required. Knowledge of AIA rules and NFHS concussion test.
