Assistant Coach - Mens Volleyball (PT) Arizona Christian University - 3.5 Glendale, AZ Job Details Part-time 1 day ago Qualifications Bachelor's degree Full Job Description General Job Brief Assists in the leadership and management of the men's volleyball program as directed by the head coach. This role also requires a comprehensive understanding of and commitment to the unique Christian mission and vision of ACU to Transform Culture with Truth, and the ability to advance that mission and vision through the performance of its duties, including person-to-person mentorship and discipleship. Duties, Tasks, Responsibilities Assist the head coach to maintain a culture of faith, influence, relationships, excellence. Assist the head coach with recruitment of new student-athletes, as directed. Design and implement training programs as directed by the head coach. Evaluate and offer feedback to student-athletes in the program to help them improve. Assist the head coach with team travel logistics for competitions and events. Assist in academic accountability and help student-athletes connect with other resources available on campus. Performs other duties as assigned. Other Duties and Responsibilities Completing other duties and tasks with utmost integrity and professionalism, as directed, and not necessarily mentioned in this description, may be asked on a volunteer basis. Commitment to the University's faith statement, mission, and purposes; and an active Christian faith. Comfort and familiarity with the practice of praying with and for others, including students, faculty, and fellow University staff. The ability to meaningfully support and encourage students, faculty, and staff from a biblical worldview perspective, using relevant and applicable references from the Old and New Testaments and orthodox Christian writings. Demonstrated alignment with and enthusiastic support for the Christian Mission and Core Commitments of the University, including signing the University's Statement of Faith and Core Commitments annually. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred Demonstrated success as a coach and/or as an athlete Demonstrated connection to the Christian Mission and Core Commitments of the University Working Conditions General sport environment Office hours to accomplish administrative tasks. Time Required Standard college calendar for in-season and out-of-season Year-round recruitment expectations. Fair Labor Standards Act This position is considered to be part-time, exempt for overtime pay provisions as provided by the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and any applicable state laws.
