Job Description
Boxing / Kickboxing / MMA Instructor We're looking for a coach who brings the energy, the knowledge, and the passion. Our gym is looking for a high-energy, motivated, and experienced Boxing / Kickboxing / MMA Instructor to join our team. We want someone who genuinely loves combat sports and fitness and can translate that passion into an incredible experience for our members. Whether someone walks through our doors for their very first boxing class, wants to get in shape, or has years of fight experience, our coaches should make them feel challenged, supported, and excited to come back. If you can command a room, teach—not just demonstrate—and motivate people to become better versions of themselves, we want to meet you. We really want someone who is not afraid to be outgoing, has a strong passion for boxing or kickboxing and a passion to introduce this to others who have no experience. This role is perfect for someone who has experience in coaching, instructing, competing or training in combat sports. Someone who is respectful, approachable, communicative with great interpersonal skills or the willing to improve. Comfortable with meeting new people and the ability to demonstrate and explain techniques clearly. We need someone who has a positive attitude and genuine desire to help people. Must be comfortable leading groups and giving the highest energy in the room! What You'll Do Lead high energy boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, and/or MMA-based fitness classes. This includes warm up exercises, stretching, cardio exercises, calisthenics, punch and kick combinations, and pad holding. Teach proper fundamentals, technique, combinations, footwork, defense, pad work, bag work, and conditioning Clearly demonstrate techniques and break them down so beginners can understand and execute them Motivate members and create a high energy training environment. We want you to be the highest energetic and motivated person in the gym! Provide individual feedback and correct technique throughout class Provide coaching and encouragement to members of all fitness and experience levels, especially people new to boxing or kickboxing! Create structured, fun, challenging, and purposeful workouts Bring energy, enthusiasm, and confidence to every class Build relationships with members and help create a strong gym community, just like a family! Welcome new members and make their first experience at the gym positive and memorable Maintain a professional, positive, and enthusiastic attitude Maintain a clean, safe gym Follow gym programming, standards, and safety procedures Assist with gym events, community outreach, promotions, and other activities when needed Continue developing and improving your own coaching skills and knowledge in workouts and boxing What We're Looking For Background in boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, MMA, or another legitimate combat sport Coaching, teaching, competitive, or significant training experience Understanding of proper technique, training principles, and conditioning Ability to confidently lead and manage a group Excellent communication and people skills Reliable, professional, punctual, and team-oriented High energy and a positive attitude Genuine passion for fitness and combat sports Ability to work with people of different ages, fitness levels, and experience levels
