Overview Join our dynamic team as a Cheer Coach Director, where you will lead and inspire cheerleading programs to excellence! This energetic role is perfect for passionate sports enthusiasts who thrive on coaching, team leadership, and creating a positive, motivating environment for young athletes. As a Cheer Coach Director, you will oversee all aspects of cheerleading activities, develop training programs, and foster teamwork and sportsmanship across all levels. Your leadership will help cultivate confident, skilled cheerleaders while ensuring safety and fun are at the forefront of every session. Responsibilities Lead the planning, organization, and execution of cheerleading practices, competitions, and performances with enthusiasm and professionalism. Develop comprehensive training programs that incorporate cheerleading techniques, choreography, stunting, tumbling, and team-building exercises. Supervise coaching staff and assistant coaches, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure high-quality instruction. Ensure all safety protocols are followed diligently, including AED operation, first aid procedures, and behavior management strategies. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding team progress, schedules, safety guidelines, and program updates. Coordinate with other sports coaches to promote cross-training opportunities and holistic athletic development. Maintain equipment inventory and ensure all training areas are safe, clean, and well-organized. Qualifications Proven experience in cheerleading coaching or team leadership within cheer or similar sports such as gymnastics or dance. Strong background in sports-specific training instruction including stunting, tumbling, choreography, and team coordination. Experience working with children and adolescents in a coaching or teaching capacity. Knowledge of health club environments or gym experience is a plus. Certifications in CPR/AED First Aid are required; additional certifications in martial arts (Karate, Judo), swimming, or climbing are advantageous. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with athletes, parents, staff, and community partners. Ability to manage behavior positively while fostering a motivating environment that emphasizes teamwork and sportsmanship. Familiarity with sports coaching experience such as soccer coaching or basketball is beneficial but not mandatory. Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 6.0 - 10.0 per week
