With one preschool, four elementary schools, one middle school, one comprehensive high school, one continuation high school, and one independent study school, the district is one of the largest employers in the city of Banning. In February 2021, Banning Unified School District opened a first-of-its-kind Performing Arts Center at Banning High School.
