Role:
Albany Berkeley Soccer Club is looking for a passionate and energetic Youth Soccer Coach to inspire the next generation of players in Berkeley, CA. Responsibilities:
Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate soccer practices and training sessions Teach fundamental soccer skills including dribbling, passing, shooting, and defensive techniques Coach players during games, providing real-time feedback and tactical guidance Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging team environment Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding player development and schedules Monitor player progress and adjust training programs to meet individual and team needs Ensure the safety and well-being of all players during practices and matches
Requirements:
Previous experience coaching or playing soccer at a youth, club, or competitive level Strong understanding of soccer rules, techniques, and player development principles US Soccer or USSF coaching license (preferred or willingness to obtain) CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to become certified Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with youth and parents Patient, motivating, and enthusiastic demeanor with a passion for youth development Must pass a background check
