Velocity HQ is an indoor basketball facility that specializes in teaching kids ages 4-17 the fundamentals of basketball. We also offer court rentals, 1-on-1 basketball training, AAU teams, and seasonal basketball camps.

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Basketball Coach that is also wiling to work as a Velocity HQ team player, leading, and assisting where needed.
Responsibilities:
Coach engaging 1-hour basketball classes for athletes ages 4-18. Plan and lead age-appropriate drills that develop fundamentals, confidence, and game understanding. Create a positive, energetic, and supportive learning environment for every player. Teach proper basketball techniques while encouraging teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. Monitor player progress and provide constructive feedback to athletes and parents. Greet families and answer questions in a friendly and professional manner. Maintain a safe and organized gym before, during, and after each class. Set up and put away basketball equipment before and after classes. Keep basketballs, training equipment, courts, and facility areas clean and in good condition. Take attendance and communicate any schedule changes or player concerns to management. Assist with class check-ins, evaluations, and new student introductions. Help promote programs by creating a welcoming experience that encourages student retention. Support camps, clinics, birthday parties, special events, and other programs as needed. Work collaboratively with fellow coaches and staff to provide a consistent experience for every family. Represent the company with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude at all times.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
Previous Basketball Coaching/Playing experience. Perform all physical aspects of the position, including being mobile, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds at a time Must be knowledgeable on the game of basketball High energy personality Works well with children (boys and girls) of all ages (4yrs-18yrs) Excellent communication skills Detail-oriented, analytical, attentive, and motivating.
