DESCRIPTION
The Athletic Sports JV/V Season Head Coach reports directly to the Athletic Director and/or site Principal and has the primary responsibility as liaison between the coaching staff and Athletic Director. The successful candidate will be required to follow the policies and procedures of the District's athletic program as well as those of CIF, Central River League (CRL) and the Monson Sultana Elementary School District.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Responsible for the overall supervision and development of their program, including the junior varsity and freshmen teams. Responsible for holding practices from 3:30-5:00PM regardless of weather conditions with exclusions of emergency weather. All practices should be coordinated around the sport that is currently in season and should directly support the skills, conditioning, and objectives of that sport. Responsible for the general upkeep, inventory and protection of equipment under the jurisdiction of their program. Maintains ongoing communication with the Athletic Director regarding any developments in their program, including the referral of requests or grievances through the proper channels. Submits an annual written report evaluating the program, with recommendations for improvements at the end of the season, to the Athletic Director. Oversees the safety conditions of the facility or area in which the assigned sport is conducted at all times athletes are present and reports any unsafe conditions to the facilities manager and coordinates work orders in a timely manner to correct safety hazards. Facilitates the long-term success and viability of their program by establishing relationships with community athletics organizations and 5th- 8th grade sports programs. Assists the Athletic Director in scheduling games for all levels. Collaborates with all of the coaches in providing the optimum sports program possible. Qualifications Required Qualifications:
21 years or older. High School Diploma & Certificates A minimum of three years coaching experience is preferred. A (1) professional letter of recommendation Valid California Driver's License and proof of automobile assurance Department of Justice and FBI Fingerprint Clearance TB test Clearance certificate Mandated Reporter CPR/ First Aid Certification Preferred Requirements /
