Volleyball Coach

Job Description

Overview Stream Valley Volleyball Club is seeking enthusiastic and reliable youth volleyball coaches to help train our beginner 11s, 12s, and 13s girls' teams. We encourage candidates with experience as collegiate players to apply, but we also value passion and patience. If you love teaching the game and helping young athletes grow, this is the perfect role for you. Duties Keep training sessions organized and energetic Execute training plans and run drills as assigned by the head coach Demonstrate and explain good technique for passing, serving, setting, and hitting Help with game day management including setting up equipment, running warmups and tracking team stats. Commit to two weekday evening sessions per week at our Dublin and San Ramon locations as well as several weekend tournaments per season Emphasize player safety, development, and enjoyment of the game in accordance with our Coaching Philosophy Qualifications Prior experience in volleyball coaching or playing at a competitive club, high school and college level is highly desirable Demonstrated ability to work with children or youth in a sports or educational setting Knowledge of sports coaching techniques, team leadership, and behavior management strategies Willingness to pass background check and complete required training to obtain a coaching certification Certifications in first aid and CPR (including AED operation) are preferred but not mandatory Background in physical education teaching or childcare enhances your suitability for this role Strong communication skills to effectively engage with athletes, parents, and colleagues
Pay:
$40.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 6.0 per week
