Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach The Forge Collective El Monte, CA Job Details Part-time $26.02 - $31.34 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Youth fitness CPR Certification Teamwork Program design Working with athletes First Aid Certification Strength and conditioning training programs CSCS Certification NASM Certified Personal Trainer Full Job Description Overview About the Role We're seeking a part-time, Strength and Conditioning Head Coach to design and deliver training programs for athletes- youth development through adult level. This role blends hands-on coaching with program design and is ideal for someone who is passionate about progression and building a solid foundation for all athletes. As the Head Coach, you will oversee all aspects of strength, conditioning, and sports-specific training, ensuring that athletes achieve their peak potential while maintaining safety and enjoyment. Experience with volleyball-specific strength foundations and rehab for common related injuries is a plus. Responsibilities Design comprehensive, individualized and group working/training plans based on athlete age, goals, and ability level Lead strength & conditioning clinics and group training sessions that encourages teamwork, discipline, and personal growth Coach proper lifting mechanics, movement patterns, and injury-prevention fundamentals Adapt programming for youth athletes (long-term athletic development principles) as well as adult and elite-level athletes Conduct regular assessments of athlete progress through performance testing and personalized progress plans Maintain a safe training environment and proper use/upkeep of equipment Help grow and refine the Forge Collective's overall S&C program and offerings Qualifications Certification in strength and conditioning (e.g., CSCS, NASM-PES, or equivalent) required or in progress Experience designing and leading training programs for athletes across different ages and skill levels with youth athletic development strongly preferred Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and Experience with specific training systems/methodologies (e.g., DB/functional training systems, linear or block periodization, etc.) Background in rehabilitation, return-to-play, or working alongside PT/athletic training staff is a plus Strong communication skills and ability to connect with athletes of all ages CPR/ First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Schedule Must be available afternoon and evenings (Monday- Friday) and/or weekends, about 15-25 hours per week — flexible based on programming needs. This role will begin at an introductory rate of hours. Based on the performance and reception of these initial sessions, along with growing demand, hours will most likely increase over time.
