The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching, physical education, and working with children. This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster discipline, teamwork, and physical fitness among youth through boxing training and related activities. Prior experience in martial arts or other sports such as karate, judo, basketball, cheerleading, or swimming is highly valued. The Youth Boxing Coach will play a vital role in creating a positive and engaging atmosphere that promotes healthy development and confidence in young participants. Schedule Monday to Thursday 5pm to 7pm Duties Design and implement age-appropriate boxing training programs tailored to individual skill levels Teach proper boxing techniques, safety protocols, and sportsmanship to youth participants Monitor and manage behavior to ensure a safe and respectful environment during training sessions Lead warm-up exercises, drills, and conditioning activities to enhance athletic performance Provide guidance on goal setting, motivation, and personal development for young athletes Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other staff to track progress and address any concerns Maintain equipment, ensure cleanliness of the training area, and adhere to safety standards Incorporate elements of other physical activities such as climbing or martial arts to diversify training sessions when appropriate Experience Prior experience working with children or youth in sports coaching or childcare settings is preferred Background in martial arts such as karate, judo, or other combat sports is advantageous Experience teaching physical education or coaching team sports like basketball or cheerleading is beneficial Lifeguard experience or familiarity with health clubs and gyms can be considered a plus Strong skills in behavior management, student engagement, and instructional techniques are essential Demonstrated ability to motivate young learners and foster a positive learning environment Knowledge of safety protocols related to martial arts, swimming, climbing, or other physical activities is desirable This position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about youth development through sports.
