Overview Join our dynamic team as a Part Time Basketball Coach and inspire young athletes to develop their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship! As a key contributor to our sports program, you will deliver engaging coaching sessions that emphasize skill development, safety, and fun. Duties Lead basketball training sessions tailored to various age groups and skill levels, ensuring all participants are engaged and motivated Develop and implement coaching plans that promote fundamental skills such as dribbling, shooting, passing, and defensive techniques Foster a positive team environment by encouraging sportsmanship, teamwork, and respectful communication among players Monitor participants' progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth in the sport Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities, including proper use of equipment and adherence to injury prevention guidelines Assist with organizing games, tournaments, and special events that enhance team spirit and community involvement Maintain clear communication with parents, guardians, and program coordinators regarding participant development and safety concerns Qualifications Prior experience coaching basketball or other sports at youth or recreational levels is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of basketball rules, techniques, and game strategies Strong communication skills to effectively instruct children and collaborate with team members Experience teaching physical education or sports-specific training instruction is advantageous Ability to manage behavior positively while maintaining a fun and disciplined environment Lifeguard experience or AED operation certification is a plus for ensuring safety during all activities Background in martial arts such as Karate, Judo, or Cheerleading can be beneficial for developing coordination and discipline skills Previous work with children or in childcare settings demonstrates patience and adaptability in engaging young participants Join us as a Part Time Basketball Coach and help shape the next generation of athletes!
