This is an opportunity to use your fitness or rehabilitation expertise to help people improve their strength, balance, mobility, confidence, and overall quality of life. Whether you're a certified personal trainer or licensed physical therapist, if you're passionate about helping others and enjoy building meaningful relationships, we'd love to meet you. About Rock Steady Boxing Rock Steady Boxing is an internationally recognized, evidence-based, non-contact boxing program designed specifically for people with Parkinson's disease. Classes combine boxing fundamentals, functional strength training, balance and mobility exercises, cognitive challenges, and a supportive community environment to help participants fight back against the symptoms of Parkinson's. Responsibilities Lead engaging and safe Rock Steady Boxing classes. Modify/scale exercises to meet participants' individual abilities and needs. Encourage, motivate, and build strong relationships with participants and their caregivers. Maintain a positive, welcoming, and supportive class environment. Help grow the program by participating in community outreach and developing relationships with local healthcare providers, senior organizations, and community partners. Collaborate with the Oceanside Athletic Club team to continue expanding the program's impact. Qualifications Certified Personal Trainer (NASM, ACE, ISSA, ACSM, or equivalent) or Licensed Physical Therapist. Rock Steady Boxing Certification (required before coaching independently). Certification cost is reimbursed after 60 days of independent coaching in $200 monthly installments. Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Experience working with older adults or adaptive populations is strongly preferred. Excellent communication and leadership skills. A genuine passion for serving others and improving lives through movement. Compensation & Benefits Starting pay: $25.00+ per hour , with opportunities for increased compensation based on class growth and program success. Employee gym membership. Employee discount. Looking to fill 2 of the days, with the ability to cover additional shifts.
