Tennis Sports Coach Stanford Park Sports Palo Alto, CA Job Details Part-time $75 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications CPR Certification First Aid Certification Working with students Teaching Camp experience Full Job Description Stanford Park Sports is looking for an energetic, reliable, and passionate Tennis Coach to lead youth tennis programs in Foster City and Mountain View. Our ideal candidate has a strong tennis background, enjoys working with children, takes initiative, and creates a fun, safe, and structured learning environment. Hiring ASAP for a great opportunity for college students or young professionals looking for flexible, impactful, and well paid work. Schedule and Availability Wednesdays, 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm, in Foster City Thursdays, 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm, in Mountain View Availability for both days is preferred, but we're open to splitting the two locations between coaches if needed Schedules are consistent week to week for the duration of the session Key Responsibilities Coach and mentor children ages 5 to 13 during after school tennis programs Teach tennis fundamentals including stroke technique, footwork, coordination, and basic gameplay in an age appropriate manner Plan and lead structured practices that balance skill development with fun, active participation Create a positive, supportive, and safe environment that encourages confidence and learning Manage equipment setup, safety protocols, and attendance tracking Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and program coordinators Serve as a role model by demonstrating professionalism, enthusiasm, and punctuality Qualifications Prior tennis coaching or playing experience required, with a strong understanding of fundamentals and safety Must have your own racket Previous experience working with children such as coaching, mentoring, babysitting, or camp counseling is strongly preferred Responsible, dependable, and confident leading groups independently Strong interpersonal and communication skills Access to a car is required, as coaching locations vary across the Bay Area Bonus Points For Tennis coaching certifications or relevant training CPR and First Aid certification Background in education, kinesiology, physical education, or youth development Make an impact.
