Job Description We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and friendly individuals to join our team as Independent Living Skills (ILS) Instructors. In this role, you will work one-on-one with clients to help them develop everyday life skills and gain independence. ILS Instructor - Duties & Responsibilities Provide one-on-one Independent Living Skills (ILS) training and support. Teach daily living skills, including cooking, cleaning, laundry, and home organization. Assist with budgeting, shopping, money management, and paying bills. Support clients with medical appointments and accessing community resources. Teach public transportation, community safety, and navigation skills. Promote personal hygiene, self-care, communication, and social skills. Encourage independence, self-advocacy, decision-making, and problem-solving. Follow each client's IPP/ISP goals and authorized service plan. Complete accurate daily service notes, timesheets, mileage, and required documentation. Monitor client progress and report concerns or significant changes to the supervisor. Maintain client confidentiality, dignity, rights, and professional boundaries. Report incidents, suspected abuse/neglect, and safety concerns promptly. Communicate professionally with clients, families, supervisors, and service coordinators. Follow all agency policies, safety procedures, and reporting requirements. Attend required meetings, training, and supervision.
