Our Swim and Dive program is dedicated to developing student-athletes not only in their athletic abilities but also in teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth. We are looking for passionate and experienced Assistant Coaches to help lead our high-performing team!
Position Overview:
Assistant Coaches will assist in developing training plans, coaching during practices and meets, and promoting a positive team environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in competitive swimming, coaching experience, and a commitment to student-athlete development.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach and refine stroke techniques, starts, turns, and race strategies for all skill levels. Assist with meet preparation, including line-ups, equipment, and team coordination. Foster a positive, inclusive, and highly competitive team culture. Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration. Monitor and promote the academic and personal growth of student-athletes. Develop and organize team events, fundraising, and community service initiatives. Support compliance with all school and league policies. Manage all program administrative requirements.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of competitive swimming techniques, rules, and training methods. Prior coaching or competitive swimming experience preferred. Ability to motivate and mentor high school student-athletes. Obtain LifeGuard Certification (or willingness to obtain before the season begins). Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to work evenings or mornings, weekends, and travel for meets with the team.
