• Solana Beach, CA The Doug & Marianne Pardee Aquatics Center , located at our Harper Clubhouse in Solana Beach, features two regulation 25-yard pools, spacious locker rooms, indoor and poolside showers, a fitness center, a snack bar, and more.

We are home to the nationally recognized Rancho San Dieguito Swim Team and offer year-round programs including Youth Swim Lessons, Adult Lap Swim, and Solana Beach Swim Masters. We are currently hiring part-time Swim Instructors for the Summer. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with children and have a passion for swimming. Previous swim instruction experience is a plus—but not required! We are happy to train motivated candidates who are eager to learn.

About this position:

This position is for June-August, Monday-Thursday, morning or afternoon, for 2 week commitment at a time. Each shift is 3.5 hrs. Minimum of 2 sessions (4 weeks total). No swimming lesson shifts offered Fri-Sunday. It is ideal for students, athletes, or anyone looking for a rewarding part-time job. Pay starts at $17.75/hour and increases with experience .

Responsibilities:

Teach introductory and intermediate swim lessons to children in a group setting. Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and water safety skills. Assess students' progress and adjust lessons to fit their needs. Supervise and ensure the safety of all participants during lessons. Recognize and respond appropriately to environmental and safety factors.

Qualifications:

Enthusiasm for working with children and families. Strong swimming skills and knowledge of basic techniques. Prior teaching or coaching experience (preferred, not required). Ability to create a fun, positive, and safe learning environment. CPR Certification preferred, but not required
