  • $4,000 Stipend Add'l Salary Info Based on qualifications and experience Length of Work Year Seasonal Employment Type Part Time Job Summary Job Summary The Head Boys Soccer Coach provides leadership and direction for the school's boys soccer program in alignment with the mission and values of Village Christian School.
This role is responsible for organizing practices, developing competitive strategy, mentoring student-athletes, and fostering a culture of teamwork, discipline, and Christ-centered sportsmanship. The Head Coach promotes athletic excellence while supporting the spiritual and character development of student-athletes. Essential Responsibilities Program Leadership & Development
  • Organize and direct all aspects of the boys soccer program
  • Develop seasonal training plans and practice schedules
  • Establish program goals aligned with Athletic Department expectations
  • Promote a positive and Christ-centered team culture Coaching & Athlete Development
  • Instruct players in soccer rules, techniques, and strategies
  • Assess player performance and provide constructive feedback
  • Develop and implement game strategies
  • Supervise athletes during practices and competitions
  • Ensure proper injury response procedures are followed Administration & Compliance
  • Maintain eligibility forms, emergency cards, and required documentation
  • Oversee equipment inventory, uniforms, and supplies
  • Ensure adherence to CIF, league, and school policies
  • Model nondiscriminatory practices in all activities Communication & Representation
  • Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, and school leadership
  • Model sportsmanship and appropriate conduct toward players, officials, and spectators
  • Represent Village Christian School with professionalism and integrity Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required
  • Coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level preferred
  • Strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals, strategy, and player development
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to mentor and motivate student-athletes
  • Commitment to Christian educatio Requirements / Qualifications Applicants should possess relevant coaching experience and knowledge of the sport.
CPR/AED and First Aid certification are required (or must be obtained prior to or shortly after hire). Candidates must demonstrate the ability to supervise student-athletes safely during practices and competitions. Applicants must submit a completed employment application and a current resume detailing coaching and leadership experience. Upon hire, candidates will be required to complete Live Scan fingerprinting, background screening, TB clearance, and provide verification of eligibility to work in the United States (I-9 documentation). Additional documentation, including acknowledgment of the school's Statement of Faith and athletic compliance forms, will be required in accordance with school policy and CIF regulations.
