The Assistant Coach, Women's Rowing will perform administrative duties, on-water instructional education, and support in recruiting efforts under the direction of the Head Coach of the Stanford Women's Rowing program. This position a fixed -termed based on the Stanford main campus. ,on-waterwith programming Your responsibilities include: Exhibiting a sincere interest in the emotional, social and academic development of student-athletes Teaching on water sport-specific skills to develop student-athletes Demonstrating cooperative behavior in pursuing program goals Identifying and recruiting academically qualified student-athletes Following NCAA guidelines and University standards and policies in coordinating recruiting efforts Assisting in the planning and transportation of student-athletes to competitions Arranging transportation for student-athletes to practices Facilitating the transportation of equipment to competitions Assisting with equipment maintenance and upkeep Displaying leadership and professional behavior in developing student-athletes Contributing to the maintenance of a good working relationship with programming all members of DAPER Applying the highest professional standards and ethical behavior with adherence to NCAA, Conference, and University regulations Assisting in the management and instruction of summer programing Passing the NCAA recruiting exam on an annual basis Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach of Stanford Women's Rowing or their designee To be successful in this role, you will have: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years collegiate or professional coaching experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience Strong interpersonal skills in working with student-athletes, peers and the general public. Computer literacy with common office applications such as Word, Excel, G-Suite applications. Ability to navigate and manage programs Instagram and Twitter accounts.
