ASSISTANT COACHES
with SUNN Swimming SUNN is looking to hire 1 part time assistant coach to help with our very experienced coaching staff. SUNN operates out of 5 pools in Sunnyvale and throughout the last year we have continued to build our membership.Job Responsibilities:
Coaching age group or senior athletes in the afternoons/evenings. The planning and preparing of workouts will occasionally be required, as will attending regular staff meetings, and responding to emails. Attending occasional swim weekend swim meets will be needed. Other minor duties may be assigned.Qualifications:
Coaches need to have current Safety Training for Swim Coaches, CPR/AED/First Aid certifications. Must also pass a background check and have either had current Athlete Protection Training and Concussion Training or be in the process of finishing those courses. 1 - 3 years of coaching or teaching swim lessons is needed. Lifeguard certification is desirable, but not required. Experience in competitive swimming is ideal.Desired Traits/Skills:
Applicants need to enjoy working with children, seeing them grow and overcome challenges, and help them achieve their goals. Understand the importance of parental involvement in their child's development and work to help build a parent's understanding of our team and the sport of swimming. Computer skills, knowledge of SportsEngine may offer other opportunities to earn income.Compensation:
Part time employees are paid on an hourly basis, $23 - $30 per hour depending on experience Benefits include Medical and dental benefits are available Accrue vacation and sick leave May participate in 401K retirement savings. CA labor laws and overtime rules are followed.Job Type:
