DESIRED PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
o Previous coaching experience. o High school, club and/or college level coaching experience is highly preferred. o USA Cheer Certifications o Ability to provide leadership and organization for all levels of the high school program. o Ability to manage the program within the established philosophy and policies of the athletic department, the school, district, and CIF. o A high level of knowledge regarding coaching techniques and evidence of the ability to convey effectively those techniques to young student-athletes. o Ability to communicate effectively with all elements of the school community including players, parents, other coaches, officials, and school administration. o Experience in promoting a successful program to students, faculty, and community.
DESIRED PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
o Skill in working with people in a positive nature. o Places high emphasis on student academic and social development in addition to physical development. o Motivates and inspires student-athletes and coaches throughout the program.
COACHING DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Works to develop and maintain a successful program including in-season and pre-season. o Establishes seasonal and long-range goals for the program. o Leads assistants in a manner in line with the athletic department and school district policies. o Maintains open lines of communication with administration and promotes the policies of the athletic department. o Acts as a liaison between the school and community to promote a positive program. o Capacity to balance day-to-day coaching and additional administrative duties. o Creates an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students o Instructs individual participants, small groups, and the team, as appropriate, in the skills necessary for achievement in STUNT cheer. o Ability to teach the fundamentals of STUNT cheer in a manner that provides Requirements / Qualifications
