Responsibilities Lead Adaptive one-on-one swimming lessons for children, teens, and adults, tailoring instruction to individual with special abilities including autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, developmental delays and/or other special needs Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and monitoring water conditions at all times Demonstrate proper swimming techniques, breathing methods, and water safety skills clearly and confidently Manage class dynamics effectively, maintaining a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation and confidence Provide constructive feedback to students to support their progress and motivate continued improvement Maintain accurate progress reports, and safety documentation Requirements Excellent communication skills to clearly convey instructions and provide encouragement Experience working with Special Needs swimmers and diverse age groups, including children, teens, and adults preferred Ability to stay alert for extended periods while actively supervising swimmers Certification in lifeguarding or water safety instruction (such as WSI certification) is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain required certifications is expected This paid position is ideal for energetic individuals passionate about teaching water skills while ensuring safety.
