In this energetic role, you will lead, motivate, and develop female high school students through engaging basketball training, team strategies, and character-building activities. Duties Design and implement comprehensive basketball training programs tailored to high school girls' skill levels and developmental needs Lead team practices, drills, and game-day strategies to enhance athletic performance and sportsmanship Foster a positive team culture by encouraging teamwork, respect, and resilience among players Monitor player progress through assessments and provide constructive feedback to support individual improvement Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities, including first aid and CPR when necessary Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school staff about team schedules, performance updates, and behavioral expectations Manage behavior on and off the court by applying effective behavior management techniques to maintain focus and discipline Experience Prior coaching experience in basketball or other team sports at the high school or youth level is highly preferred Demonstrated ability to work with children and adolescents in a coaching or teaching capacity Knowledge of sports-specific training instruction, including fundamentals of basketball techniques and strategies Experience leading sports teams or organizing athletic activities in educational or community settings Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or sports safety are required Background in physical education teaching, childcare, or youth development enhances your effectiveness as a coach Join us to empower young women through sport!
