Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Sports Coach to inspire and develop athletes of all ages and skill levels. In this role, you will lead engaging sports training sessions, foster teamwork, and promote a positive environment that encourages physical activity, skill development, and personal growth. Your passion for sports and coaching expertise will help participants achieve their goals while enjoying a safe and motivating atmosphere. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on individuals' athletic journeys. Responsibilities Design and deliver dynamic sports training programs tailored to various age groups and skill levels, including soccer, basketball, cheerleading, climbing, martial arts such as karate and judo, and swimming. Lead team practices, drills, and competitions to enhance athletic skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times; operate AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) and administer first aid or CPR when necessary. Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and guardians to provide progress updates, address concerns, and motivate athletes. Manage behavior and foster a positive environment that encourages discipline, respect, and enjoyment of sports activities. Maintain equipment, facilities, and safety standards in accordance with organizational policies. Stay current with sports-specific training techniques and coaching certifications to continuously improve your coaching skills. Skills Proven experience in sports coaching across multiple disciplines such as soccer, basketball, cheerleading, climbing or martial arts like karate or judo. Lifeguard experience with swimming skills highly desirable for aquatic programs. Strong background working with children and youth in educational or recreational settings. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with participants of all ages and their families. Demonstrated ability in team leadership, behavior management, and fostering a motivating environment. Knowledge of first aid procedures including CPR certification; AED operation is a plus. Experience teaching physical education or working within health clubs or gyms is advantageous. Ability to develop sport-specific training instruction tailored to individual needs and goals. Familiarity with sports team experience or coaching certifications enhances your candidacy. $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
