For this part-time seasonal position as the HS Level 4 Girls Volleyball Head Coach, practices and competitions are held before/after school and on weekends for the duration of the fall season. Your passion for the sport and ability to connect and inspire athletes will contribute to their growth and success on and off the cross-country course. Candidates are expected to attend an orientation meeting and complete all certifications required by the athletics department and CHSAA, including, but not limited to, CPR/First Aid, concussion training, bus certifications, and mental health training.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach fundamental and advanced athletic skills to athletes in order to prepare them for competition. Understand how to increase student-athlete proficiency in enhancing and advancing athletic abilities specific to their sport. Support recruitment of student participation and focus on retention for the team. Drive the team to swim meets using the school buses and ensure proper supervision is always provided. Support the Head Coach in all aspects of team operations, practice planning, and team execution.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Education and qualifications should include the following: High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred. Can manage sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality. Have an excellent understanding of the rules, strategies, and techniques for the sport. Knowledgeable about physical fitness, safety, injury, and equipment. Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude. Valid Driver's License. A sense of resonance with the St. Mary's Academy mission
Salary/Benefits:
This is a part-time, seasonal position and the stipend range for this position is $1,800 - $2,000 Benefits are not provided for this position. How to
