Westminster, CO Job Details Part-time $17.25 an hour 9 hours ago Qualifications Working with youth Full Job Description Youth Sports Instructor The Youth Sports Instructor role with Hyland Hills Parks & Rec is a position focused on the introduction of various sports to youth. This role requires an energetic, positive, and dependable individual who enjoys working with kids. As an instructor, you will be responsible for providing kids with their first experiences in sports while helping develop basic skills, confidence, and a love for sports. This is a great fit for you if you love sports and working with kids but can't commit to a full competitive season.
Responsibilities:
Lead weekly sessions as part of our 6-week beginner programs. Teach basic skills and fundamentals in soccer, baseball, or basketball. Keep young athletes engaged through fun drills, activities, and games. Create a positive, supportive, and encouraging environment for all participants. Adjust activities to accommodate different ages and skill levels. Help children build confidence and develop a love for sports. Communicate positively with parents and program staff. Maintain a safe, organized, and fun environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum Age:
16 Years Ability to complete state mandated trainings prior to first shift Knowledge and understanding of multiple sports including basketball, volleyball, soccer, softball and baseball Can lift a minimum of 50 pounds Ability to work weekday evenings You don't have to be an experienced coach to be a great instructor. We're looking for people who enjoy working with kids, are comfortable being active, and are excited to help beginners learn and have fun!
