Position Summary:

Ascent Classical Academy of Northern Colorado is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Middle School Coach. The ideal candidate will embody high character and professionalism, representing our school community with integrity when interacting with various public groups, including leagues, organizations, schools, and media outlets. This position collaborates directly with and reports to the Athletic Director. Key Responsibilities . The Assistant Coach reports to the Head Coach and Athletic Director and is responsible for assisting with the coaching program Instruct and work with athletes with guidance from the head coach to prepare them for competition Demonstrate leadership by implementing of expectations and direction of the program Preparation of team for competition Attend all practices and games Assist with set up and take down of equipment for practices and games
Position Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Previous coaching experience preferred. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the sport Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of individuals. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team environment. Concussion Training or willing to obtain Loyalty to the school and ACA's mission and vision Commitment to model moral character in line with the school's core virtues Adherence to all ACA policies, including but not limited to the Employee Handbook, Family Handbook, and all applicable school and board policies
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds Must be able to traverse the sports complex, field, or court indoors and/or outdoors The Board of Directors at ACACS has contracted with Minga Education Group Services (MEGS) to provide employment services for all staff that work at locations within ACACS, including Ascent Classical Academy of Northern Colorado (ACANC). Through this partnership, MEGS provides ACACS with employment services, a personnel system for human resources, benefits, payroll services as well as access to a 401(k) plan. For naming purposes, Minga Education Group Services is the employer.
