Job description: Head Pickleball Coach Coach the Game. Grow the Community. Lead the Future of Pickleball. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Pickleball Coach to lead our coaching team, develop engaging programs, and create exceptional player experiences. This leadership role combines on-court instruction with program management, staff development, and community engagement. The ideal candidate is a skilled coach, strong leader, and enthusiastic ambassador for the sport who is committed to helping players of all ages and skill levels improve their game. What You'll Do Provide private lessons, group instruction, clinics, and player evaluations. Develop and oversee structured programs for beginner, intermediate, and advanced players. Lead leagues, tournaments, camps, junior programs, and special events. Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate coaching staff. Create coaching standards and ensure consistency across all programs. Collaborate with operations and marketing teams to grow participation and membership. Build relationships with players, members, and the local community. Monitor program performance and implement improvements to enhance the player experience. Represent the organization at community events and tournaments. Qualifications Previous experience coaching pickleball players at various skill levels. Strong leadership and team development experience. Deep knowledge of pickleball rules, techniques, and strategy. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Pickleball coaching certification preferred (PPR Level 1 and/or Level 2 preferred). CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, instruct, and actively participate on court for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. What Success Looks Like Increased participation in programs and events. Strong player development and satisfaction. Growth in memberships, lessons, and coaching revenue. Effective leadership and development of coaching staff. Positive community engagement and facility reputation.
