Gymnastics Coach Position

Job Description

About the Role We're seeking an enthusiastic coaching professional to join Sky Point Gymnastics and help young athletes achieve their athletic potential. This position involves leading training sessions, creating individualized coaching plans, and cultivating an encouraging atmosphere where students build athletic skills, self-assurance, and collaborative spirit. Your expertise in gymnastics instruction and genuine commitment to athlete development will create meaningful experiences for our community while advancing their physical capabilities. Primary Responsibilities Conduct gymnastics instruction sessions customized to various age groups and skill progression levels Instruct athletes in proper form across apparatus work including bars, beams, floor exercise, vaulting, and tumbling skills Track athlete development, offer feedback that supports skill improvement and technique refinement Implement and maintain safety measures throughout training, including equipment inspection and appropriate spotter techniques Build a supportive team culture emphasizing respect, mental toughness, and athletic confidence Maintain ongoing dialogue with families about their athlete's development, achievements, and conduct Keep facilities and equipment in optimal condition; setup and maintenance of training spaces Required & Preferred Qualifications Background coaching youth athletics, leading gymnastics instruction, or teaching physical activity Comprehensive understanding of gymnastics methodology, injury prevention, and proper spotting procedures Strong interpersonal and teaching abilities for youth instruction and family partnerships Skills in motivating and managing young student-athletes in a constructive setting Prior experience coaching or working with youth in athletic or supervised environments Current First Aid and CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain) Additional athletic certifications or training in disciplines such as martial arts, cheer, or climbing are advantageous Proven ability to lead, inspire performance standards, and cultivate teamwork Why Join Us Help shape the next generation of athletes while developing your coaching career. Pay:
$16.00 - $25.00 per hour
