Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Cheerleading Coach at Bay Harbor Islands and ignite the spirit of teamwork, enthusiasm, and athletic excellence! In this energetic role, you will lead cheerleading squads through skill development, choreography, and performance preparation. Your passion for sports, coaching expertise, and ability to motivate young athletes will help foster confidence, discipline, and camaraderie. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students while honing your coaching skills in a vibrant environment dedicated to fun and fitness. Duties Design and implement engaging cheerleading routines that incorporate dance, stunts, jumps, and tumbling techniques. Lead practices focused on skill development, teamwork, safety protocols, and performance readiness. Provide clear instruction on cheerleading techniques while emphasizing proper form and safety procedures. Foster a positive team environment by encouraging sportsmanship, discipline, and leadership among participants. Monitor participants' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills and confidence. Coordinate with school or organization staff to schedule practices, performances, and competitions. Ensure all activities comply with safety standards including proper spotting techniques and AED operation when necessary. Qualifications Proven experience in cheerleading coaching or performing at a competitive level. Strong background in sports-specific training instruction such as gymnastics, dance. Experience working with children or youth in a coaching or teaching capacity. Knowledge of team leadership principles and behavior management strategies. Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and organizational staff. Additional skills in soccer coaching, basketball, or other sports are a plus. Prior experience in health club or gym environments is advantageous for understanding physical conditioning needs.
