Duties Plan and execute age-appropriate cheerleading practices, routines, and performances that emphasize teamwork, coordination, and enthusiasm Teach cheerleading techniques including jumps, stunts, tumbling, dance moves, and formations with clear instructions and demonstrations Foster a positive team environment by promoting sportsmanship, respect, and collaboration among participants Monitor safety during all activities, ensuring proper use of equipment and adherence to safety protocols Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding team progress, upcoming events, and individual athlete development Manage behavior effectively through constructive guidance and behavior management strategies Organize team events such as competitions, showcases, or community performances to showcase team achievements Requirements Prior experience working with children in sports or recreational settings is highly preferred Knowledge of cheerleading techniques including stunts, jumps, tumbling, and dance Experience coaching or instructing sports-specific skills such as soccer coaching or basketball is advantageous Strong communication skills to effectively teach routines and engage with young athletes and their families Ability to demonstrate leadership in team settings while maintaining a fun yet disciplined environment First aid certification including CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED operation is required or willing to obtain prior to start date Background in martial arts such as karate or judo is a plus for understanding physical discipline and movement fundamentals Experience teaching physical education or working within health clubs or gyms enhances your suitability for this role Demonstrated ability to manage behavior positively while encouraging participation and confidence in children Join us as a Youth Cheerleading Coach to make a lasting impact on young athletes' lives!
