XP League Clearwater Location:
28909 US Hwy 19 N, Clearwater, FL 33761
Type:
Part-time / evenings & Saturdays (in-person) Ages coached: 7-17 XP League Clearwater is looking for a Fortnite Coach who can raise kids' game and their character. We run in-person, coach-led teams in a youth sports model: practices, competitions, tournaments, camps, and a positive culture. What you'll do Lead Fortnite practices and competitions for athletes at all levels (recreational through competitive). Teach Battle Royale fundamentals and advanced play: rotations, zone awareness, fight selection, building/edit fights, endgame, loadouts, and current meta. Coach keyboard & mouse and controller players; explain bindings, sensitivity, aim, movement, and when one input beats the other. Break down VODs, give clear, age-appropriate feedback, and run drills that transfer to ranked and league play. Help athletes communicate, stay composed, and compete without toxic habits. Troubleshoot Fortnite issues on the floor: launches, crashes, settings, input, audio, Epic/account problems, performance drops. Handle PC troubleshooting in a live arena: drivers, peripherals, network, displays, software conflicts, and getting a station playable again fast. Report to the League Commissioner on athlete progress and daily session notes. Required qualifications Deep Fortnite knowledge — current map, loot pool, movement, building/editing, ranked systems, and how the game is actually played at a high level. Peak Battle Royale rank of Unreal (or equivalent documented peak; be ready to show it). Strong KBM mechanics and solid controller knowledge; you must be able to coach both. Proven ability to troubleshoot Fortnite / Epic / in-game issues under time pressure. PC troubleshooting — hardware, software, network, and peripherals in a multi-station environment. Experience working with children (coaching, mentoring, tutoring, camps, youth sports, etc.) ages ~7 and up. Available evenings and Saturdays on-site in Clearwater. Patient, professional, and fun to be around in a fast-paced youth setting. Preferred Prior youth coaching, teaching, or team-lead experience. Familiarity with other titles including Valorant, Overwatch, Apex, Marvel Rivals, Rocket League, & Minecraft. Comfort talking with parents about progress, sportsmanship, and next steps. If you can hit Unreal, explain a 90 to an 8-year-old, fix a frozen PC before warm-ups end, and still keep the room positive—apply.
