Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Women's College Basketball Head Coach to lead our women's basketball program with enthusiasm, strategic vision, and a commitment to Bible-based student-athlete development. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive training plans tailored to enhance individual skills and team performance in basketball. Lead daily practices, games, and team meetings to motivate athletes and promote a winning mindset. Recruit talented student-athletes through outreach, evaluations, and campus visits while maintaining compliance with recruitment policies. Foster a positive team culture focused on sportsmanship, respect, and personal development. Manage team logistics including scheduling games, coordinating travel arrangements, and overseeing equipment inventory. Monitor athlete academic progress and ensure adherence to eligibility requirements. Collaborate with athletic department staff to promote health, safety, and well-being of all team members; operate AED (Automated External Defibrillator) devices as needed. Conduct behavior management strategies to maintain discipline and foster a respectful environment on and off the court. Utilize sports-specific training instruction techniques such as basketball drills, conditioning exercises, and skill assessments. Communicate effectively with players, parents, faculty, and athletic staff to ensure clear understanding of team goals and expectations. Requirements Proven experience in sports coaching with a focus on womens' basketball or similar team sports at the collegiate or high school level. Demonstrated leadership skills in managing teams and motivating athletes toward excellence. Strong communication skills for effective client (player/parent) interaction and team coordination. Background in working with children or student-athletes in educational or recreational settings. Experience working with diverse groups of students or athletes from various backgrounds is preferred. Familiarity with behavior management strategies to promote discipline and positive conduct within the team environment.
