Miami Gardens, FL Job Details 15 hours ago Qualifications Sports team experience Bachelor's degree Full Job Description The Quarterbacks Coach is responsible for coaching and mentoring student-athlete quarterbacks, assisting with offensive game planning, evaluating talent, and contributing to the overall success of the football program. The coach supports player development both on and off the field while maintaining compliance with institutional, conference, and NCAA regulations.
Essential Functions:
Teach quarterback fundamentals, mechanics, footwork, throwing technique, and decision-making. Conduct position-specific drills during practices and workouts. Develop game preparation strategies for quarterbacks. Analyze player performance and provide constructive feedback. Mentor student-athletes in leadership, discipline, and teamwork. Break down game and practice film to identify strengths, weaknesses, and tendencies. Prepare scouting reports on opposing defenses. Support play-calling and in-game adjustments. Identify and evaluate prospective quarterback recruits. Attend high school games, camps, showcases, and recruiting events. Maintain compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional rules. Assist with practice planning and organization. Coordinate meetings and film sessions. Complete required reports and documentation. Monitor academic progress of quarterbacks. Encourage academic success and personal development. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that logically relate to the position.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Leadership and mentorship. Football strategy and analytics. Talent evaluation and recruiting. Film study and game planning. Organization and time management. Interpersonal and communication skills. Strong knowledge of offensive football concepts and quarterback play. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to recruit and evaluate talent. Ability to stand for extended periods during practices and games. Ability to travel frequently for recruiting and competition. Ability to participate in outdoor activities under varying weather conditions. Moderate physical activity. Requires handling objects of average weight up to fifty (50) pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree. Previous football coaching or playing experience, preferably at the collegiate level. Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours. (Evenings, weekends, and holiday work required)
