In this role, you will lead basketball training sessions, foster teamwork, and promote a positive sporting environment. Your passion for sports, combined with excellent communication skills and experience working with children, will help players improve their skills while building confidence and sportsmanship. Duties Plan and deliver engaging basketball training sessions tailored to different age groups and skill levels Develop personalized coaching strategies to enhance individual player performance Lead team practices, drills, and scrimmages to promote teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship Monitor player progress, provide constructive feedback, and motivate athletes to achieve their best Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities, including first aid and CPR procedures when necessary Communicate regularly with players, parents, and staff about team updates, schedules, and performance goals Foster a positive environment that encourages respect, fair play, and personal growth among all participants Requirements Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly basketball; additional experience in soccer coaching or cheerleading is a plus Strong background in sports-specific training instruction and team leadership skills Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and manage behavior positively Knowledge of first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response procedures Experience teaching physical education or working within health clubs or gyms is preferred Excellent communication skills to engage with players, parents, and team members effectively Passion for sports coaching combined with a commitment to fostering a fun yet disciplined athletic environment
